Our rates are:
$300/night on weekdays (minimum 2 nights)
$350/night on weekends (Friday–Sunday, minimum 2 nights)
$400/night for occasional one-night stays (subject to availability)
Your stay includes:
private hot tubs (two baths — no extra charge!)
a breakfast hamper with either eggs on toast (DIY) or homemade local muesli
hot drinks (coffee, tea, Milo) and some surprise goodies
fresh, filtered rainwater
full linen service: towels, robes, face cloths
fully equipped kitchen (oven, stove, fridge, kettle, pots, pans, utensils, crockery, wine glasses, French press)
pantry basics: oil, butter, sugar, milk, bread, sauces
a cozy hammock for lazing about

Yes, we can! Our BBQ hampers make for an easy and delicious night in.
Single night hamper: $140 (feeds two)
farm-raised grass-fed beef (steaks & sausages)
local cob loaf
Ingredients to create a fresh veggie couscous salad
Dressing, feta, nuts, seasonal fruit
a bottle of local wine
Weekend hamper: $265 (covers two dinners and one lunch)
everything in the single night hamper, plus
chocolate treats, local smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, fresh bread, juice, and a second bottle of wine
Note: Because we do not have a commercial kitchen, guests with allergies or dietary requirements are advised to self-cater. Cob loaf and meat can also be purchased separately.

Vouchers are valid for 12 months.
To redeem: do not book through the website. Please email us at stay@naturenurtures.co.nz with your preferred date.
Vouchers are non-refundable but can be re-gifted.
One-night vouchers can’t be used when a two-night minimum stay is required.
If your voucher doesn't cover the full booking amount, you’ll need to pay the difference.
COVID-19 disruptions: We’re flexible — we will extend vouchers if necessary!

We are located in Silverstream, Upper Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand around 25–45 minutes from Wellington city.
A car is the easiest way to get to us. There is a supermarket in Silverstream 10 minutes away if you need supplies before arriving.
After parking at our private lot, it's a 5-minute gravel bush walk to your hut. (If you prefer, we can deliver your luggage — just let us know.)
Tip : No rolly suitcases — pack light and bring sturdy shoes.

Yes! In fact, you get two baths to enjoy — perfect for stargazing.
They’re included in your stay (no extra fee). -
Arrive between 3:00–6:00 PM (no earlier than 3:00 PM).
Leave the hut as you found it: wash and dry dishes, put furniture back, and keep the space tidy.
Excessive cleaning (e.g., stained linen, food spills) will incur a $100 additional cleaning fee.
Glen will meet you at the site for a quick tour and tips.

Booking terms
A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your stay.
Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
The remaining balance is due by the morning of your arrival. If not arranged otherwise, the credit card used to book will automatically be charged for the outstanding amount (plus any credit card processing fees).
By proceeding with your booking, you agree to the terms and conditions, including our cancellation policy, health and safety obligations, and respect for our no-drone, no-party environment.

Payment methods
We accept payment by bank transfer or major credit cards.
Please note: Credit card transactions will incur a small processing fee.
If you would prefer to avoid card fees, please contact us to arrange a direct bank transfer instead.
Cancellation terms
Because cancellations have a significant impact on small operators like us, we have a clear and firm cancellation policy:
More than 14 days prior to arrival:
Your 25% deposit is fully refundable.
7 to 14 days prior to arrival:
50% of your deposit will be refunded.
Less than 7 days prior to arrival:
Your deposit becomes non-refundable.
Cancelling on the day of arrival or a no-show will result in 100% of your full stay being charged.
Once you have checked in, no refunds are given for early departure.
Changes and reschedulingUp to 14 days prior to arrival, you may reschedule your booking to a new date (subject to availability) with no penalty.
Within 14 days of arrival, changes are treated as cancellations and may be subject to fees.
Rescheduled bookings must be completed within 12 months of the original booking date.
Extreme weather events
Your safety comes first. In the case of extreme weather (such as more than 2 inches of rain falling in 12 hours, or severe winds making the bush track unsafe), we will contact you.
In these cases, you will be offered:
a full refund, or
a transfer of your booking to another date (no extra cost).
COVID-19 and medical emergencies
If you are unwell with COVID-19 or another significant illness, please let us know as soon as possible. We will work with you to reschedule your stay whenever possible.
If government travel restrictions affect your ability to stay, we will extend the validity of your booking or voucher.
No refunds for:
change of mind
weather that does not trigger a severe event warning (e.g., light rain or cloudy skies)
early departure after check-in
missed check-in times without prior communication
Special notes
Check-in is between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. No arrivals later than 7:00 PM please, for safety reasons.
Check-out is by 11:00 AM back at the carpark.
Our accommodation is for 2 adults only. No additional guests, tents, or overnight visitors.
Pets are welcome only if on a leash at all times (to protect local wildlife).

Your safety is really important to us. Please note:
Bush walk: You will walk about 5 minutes uphill on an unlit gravel track. Good footwear and a torch or lantern are essential.
Water: All rainwater is filtered and safe to drink.
Fire safety: No open flames or smoking around the hut.
Medical conditions: If you have heart conditions, mobility issues, or are pregnant, please let us know before arrival so we can support you.
No drones: To protect the privacy and tranquillity of the forest.
By booking, you accept personal responsibility for your own safety while on the property.
